Chain of Custody: the path taken by raw materials harvested from a certified source through processing, manufacturing, distribution and printing until it is a final product ready for sale to the end consumer. Chain of custody certification tracks wood fiber from a certified forest, providing a link between certified forestlands and certified products. This process provides an assurance of social and environmental responsibility on the part of the producer.
