1948- Robert F. Reid and Robert J. Wright were the founding fathers of Reid and Wright, Inc. Reid and Wright was Incorporated in Fresno , CA . The Corporation began as a wholesale distribution company specializing in California Redwood. The territory to be covered by this facility was Central California .

1952- The company expanded the territory they were covering to include the state of Hawaii and Reid and Wright, Inc became their major supplier of redwood.

1960- Helping to facilitate the growth of the company into the industrial products necessary, the company leased a drying yard in Fortuna , CA where redwood for a large outdoor furniture manufacture was processed.

1964- The disastrous Northern California floods in December of 1964 completely destroyed the inventory of redwood at our Fortuna Drying yard.

1965- A complete manufacturing plant was leased in Fields Landing, CA and a separate company named Aloha Redwood was started. The focus was to continue the processing of industrial products as well as manufacturing products for the Hawaiian Market. The company at this time also added Eastern Canada as a Territory focusing on the redwood industrial products.

1972- Robert B. Reid joined the company as a salesman at the Fresno , CA office.

1975- Robert F. Reid moved to Hawaii , and opened up a sales office in Maui , to focus on the growing sales in this market.

1976- A manufacturing plant was purchased in Arcata , CA and Robert B. Reid moved from Fresno , CA to Arcata , CA to manage the new facility.

1977- Richard E. Reid joined the firm in Arcata as a salesman.

1979- Richard E. Reid moved to Colorado , to open a new office for the company.

1983- The Broomfield , CO Distribution facility was opened. This facility like the others specialized in redwood, and also added Western Red Cedar to the product mix. The market territories at this facility included eight states in the Central Midwest area.

1988- The Bend , OR Distribution facility was opened. The market territories include the Pacific Northwest States.

1998- The Arcata, CA manufacturing plant was sold, and the Corporate Office was moved to Bend , OR .

2000- The Minneapolis , MN Distribution facility was opened. The market territories include the upper Midwest .

2006- The Minneapolis , MN Distribution was closed due to market conditions.
